Terms of Service & Refund Policy
1Who we are
This website (“the Site”) and the digital product The Native Way (“the Almanac”) are published by Joseph Standing Elk (“we”, “us”, “our”). By purchasing or using the Almanac you agree to these Terms.
2What you are buying
The Almanac is a single, downloadable, illustrated digital ebook (PDF), 203 pages. Purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable, lifetime license to read and print the Almanac for your own household use, plus all future revisions of the same edition at no extra charge. You may not resell, redistribute, republish, or share the file.
3Pricing & payment
- The price is $37, charged once. There is no subscription and no recurring billing.
- Payment is processed securely by our checkout providers — PayPal or Dodo Payments (merchant of record for card checkout), depending on the button you choose. We do not store your card details.
- Prices are in U.S. dollars. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.
4Delivery
Access is delivered instantly — a download link to the PDF is emailed to the address you provide at checkout, normally within 60 seconds of payment. If you do not receive it, check your spam folder and then contact us.
5Refund policy
All sales are final. The Native Way is a digital product. It is described on this site as an instant, illustrated digital ebook (PDF), and it is delivered to your email address immediately on payment. Because the product is delivered in full at the moment of purchase, it cannot be returned, and a change of mind after delivery is not a ground for refund.
We do issue refunds in these cases, within seven (7) days of purchase:
- Non-delivery. Your payment was taken but the book never reached you. Contact us and we will first re-send it to the address you provided; if we are unable to deliver it, we refund you in full.
- Duplicate or repeated charges. If you were charged more than once for the same order, every extra charge is refunded in full.
- Where the law requires it. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that grants a statutory right of withdrawal — for example the 14-day right under EU and UK consumer law — that right applies to you regardless of anything above, and you may exercise it by contacting us. Note that where you have asked for immediate access to digital content, that statutory right may lawfully be waived at checkout.
Outside those cases we do not refund. Before you buy, this site states plainly that you are purchasing an illustrated digital ebook (PDF) delivered instantly by email. A purchase made on that basis, and delivered on that basis, has been fulfilled.
If something has gone wrong with your order, please contact us first — we answer every email and we would rather fix it than have you raise a dispute with your bank. Where a chargeback is filed on an order that was delivered, we will respond with the delivery record, the product description shown at checkout, and these terms.
To request a refund under any of the grounds above, reply to your receipt email or contact us at the address below.
6Educational content & health disclaimer
The Almanac is educational content only. It describes traditional, time-tested home-care practices — remedies, teas, broths, recipes, and seasonal-living customs from the Plain life — for general information. It is not medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Nothing in the Almanac is a substitute for professional medical, dietary, or pharmaceutical care.
Always consult a qualified physician or health professional before using any remedy or recipe, before changing anything your doctor has advised, and especially for children, during pregnancy or nursing, for any chronic or serious condition, or alongside medications. Check for allergies and use your own good judgment. Results and individual experiences vary, and we make no health, cure, or treatment claims. You are responsible for your own safety, and we are not liable for any loss, injury, or harm arising from use of the Almanac.
7Intellectual property
All text, illustrations, recipes, the cover, the persona “Joseph Standing Elk”, and the brand “The Native Way” are our property and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Unauthorized copying or redistribution is prohibited.
8Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Almanac is limited to the amount you paid for it. The Almanac is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
9Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with its “last updated” date.
